"you loved me in the blink of an eye"

"And when I walk away, you take off running and come right after me. It's what you do. I don't deserve you."

His persistent steps follow her out into the parking lot, her inaccurate hatred for him had been apparent even as her back had been turned to him. The stars were illuminating the night in the absence of street lamps. Her tears are burning, declining down her face like a raft falling down a waterfall. She had never endured this kind of self-giving love; he would do anything for her and it killed her. While she had been running and staying silent, primarily screaming out the heart shattering thoughts in her head. 'I don't deserve him, I never did,' and it had constantly mentally murdered her image of herself. Her lumpy body was not beautiful, in fact it wasn't even worthy of his attention. His amber eyes bore into her leather covered back, she could feel it. She knew he had her best interest at heart.

The ground thumps beneath her boots, creating a beat of give and take, push and pull, negligence and acceptance. It nearly blew her ears off as she focused on not stepping on any cracks. He is still inches away from her body, his arms wanting nothing to do than to just engulf her in his safety.

Amber eyes attach to her deep brown ones, roughly knocking the air out of her lungs. The ground had seemed welcoming, as if she should've just collapsed right then and there in front of him. But no, she needed to have this fight, this collision with him.

"What makes you think I'd want you here right now?" Her voice comes out as powerful as humanly capable. But it's agonizing, excruciatingly arduous when you're yelling at the person you love most. "I didn't want you this morning, and I still don't want you here now." A stray tear falls down her face gently. It sears her skin, or so it seems that way to her.

"Are you going to stop lying to me?" She holds her ground, even as it proves to be completely against what she truthfully desires. "At least stop lying to yourself then." His chest heaves up and down beneath his black t-shirt. He looks beautiful and she looks like a registered mess.

"Why are you doing this to me? You don't love me, you never did." His eyes are getting glossy, and his hands are in tight fists. The man that she have been in love with for months has never given a real shit about her, and it fucking hurts.

"You don't love him," his hand flies up in the air, gesturing to some guy that's clearly not here. "You're leading him on and you know it." Her heart races, nervous of the truth slipping out. It would virtually ruin her, she couldn't be the type to lead one on.

"You know what? You're so full of bullshit!" Her voice gets audible, loud across the dimly lot parking lot. Only the stars could lead them to each other, and boy did they. "What do you even want from me?" Swollen lips cover the lower part of her face, tired from being downturned all her existence.

"You deserve better, and you know it." He rushes towards her, following the stars that lead him to her. Her eyes shine in the distance, compelling him to rush towards them. He loves her more than he has ever loved himself, more than he has ever loved anything in this whole fucked up universe.

Their lips crash onto each other, molding perfectly together. His hands cradle her face, his hands run through her mangled hair. The kiss tasted of salt and pure, undeniably magic. It spread through her veins, her fingertips and toes feeling tingly.

It had felt as if the stars were exploding in the sky above them. The light encased them in a certain aura, something purely enchanting. Maybe it had been love or lust or anything wholly perfect.

They pulled away from each other, her eyes shut and her tears halted. Her heart was thumping beneath her chest. 'This is what love feels like,' she thought. It felt clear but also foggy, and dangerous while also safe. It felt like moments of pure ecstasy while also being aggravated with each other eighty percent of the time. It means deserving that one person in front of you, because they sure as hell wouldn't love you of you didn't deserve them and all that they ever did for the sake of you and you only. Now that's what love truly, innocently, purely, and wholly is; it's deserving each other in a world full of people who don't deserve each other. How beautiful is it that they found each other then?
