Q2 dance workshops
Q2 dance is holding workshops through the holidays to willing dancers from ages 6 to 17 this week. The ordeal begins tomorrow, Monday at their dance studios in Sydney where masters of the profession offer unique insight into the entire array; all dance, jazz, contemporary, ballet or street. The program extends to five memorable days, finishing Friday the 25 April, in the Q2 studios on 1/105-107 Parramatta Road, Camperdown, Sydney, with workshops running from 9:30 am to 3 pm each day. Anticipation has certainly propagated the event and dancers populating all over Australia have exerted themselves to travel to Sydney for advice and input from some well-achieved artists and to be inspired in this workshops.

The intensive content of the dance workshop is compiled and displayed by the head of each dance department at Q2 through their choreographies and skill teaching techniques – Lauren Elton regulating jazz and contemporary, Olivia Ippoliti over ballet and tap and Julian governing singing and drama. Lauren, the contemporary specialist is an acclaimed artist now working with Q2 dance, she has led a professional career working with many of Australia's well-known choreographers and played Lulu in the hit drama series Dance Academy. Olivia Ippoliti, after training extensively in dance for 16 years, maintained a successful career in various corporate shows, films and television. She is now sharing her expertise at Q2 as the head of tap and ballet. Julian holds a Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre from the Australian Institute of Music and has appeared in many esteemed musicals with Opera Australia and is more than capable of teaching shining and drama at Q2 dance.
