His Interlude: Love Lost

i stare.

a miniature waterfall falls from your eyes

with each drop i see a reflection of the past. time travel is so obtainable within you. unable to capture me too. a breeze flows in from the east and you begin to cheese because you remembered the first time out souls came to meet. in the park off the corner of 95th street. you had a flower in your hair and i had mud on my feet. quite the pair we were. my flower child with a smile more beautiful than the blossoming lilies and me the dirty boy with mud streaked sneaks. you saw more than what the eye meets and you looked deep within me. you swam deep within my soul. you became familiar with every molecule within me. you found something that even i couldn't see. you became a piece of me. your soul became intertwined with me. yin and yang our souls conjoined. i broke your trust, i broke your heart, i broke you. and for that i'm so sorry, i am not requesting a second chance because i know you like you know me and a round two could never be. i refuse to rest until you understand that you meant everything to me. you were my world, my universe, my moon, my stars. i needed you to know that i am suffering for the decisions i made and that i miss you and forever my heart is yours. i love you.
