Daydreaming

The stars didn't align

But you weren't really surprised

Good times, you're reminiscing on everything that went right

A heart is on fire,

You're wired down to your big toes,

Torn between what you feel

And what you think you should know,

How they want you to grow,

You'll never fit the mold,

A Being with so much potential needs their own space to hold,

Golden clouds in your day dreams

Because reality says it's not possible

But what's reality to someone who believes in the impossible?

When the stars didn't align

You didn't cry,

You seen the bigger picture

In the perfect daydream when you saw your heart in the sky,

Stars became fireflies

With an unpredictable rhythm,

With every beat, you were taken by an irreplaceable feeling

When God turned the lights back on you tried to take a picture

But the Polaroid flash showed a reflection of the ceiling

Blinked twice to remember where you are,

You were Laying on your bed,

But daydreaming in the stars.
