My eyes light up like fireflies when I see you,

A big side of you is unknown but I see clearly that your wings grew.

And they're still growing,

And you don't know this,

But the growth will never reach a peak,

Because you have a soul made of gold and eyes made of leaves.

Breathing life into me when we talk,

I know you feel my nervous energy

My hands sweat and my words are chopped,

Reaching a climax that I've never reached.

Inexplicable emotions and your words are sweet like honey,

I think of you at the darkest hour and even on my busy days where I don't stop running.

You are..... Lovely.

To simply put it,

I hope you take none of this the wrong way but.... How do I put it...

They say to speak words to your crush and speak them clear,

But I just started to write this and your voice came to my ear,

And your touch came to my hands,

And motion came to my wrists,

Half way down I said fuck it, closed my eyes and let it rip.

Maybe you're not a big fan of emotion or even this type of poetry

But this side of me is in pieces,

When I think of you

everything comes to completion.

I'm not saying that I need you or I want you to be my reason,

But I'm saying id rather think of you than battle with my demons.

Not saying I run from my problems, maybe I do, I'm not perfect,

But I look at you and see a different type of perfect.

If you told me to explain this

And I said I couldn't, and you said try,

I'd look right in your eyes and start with a curiosity in my mind.

Curiosity killed the cat I guess

But I hate cats, so fuck it.

You fascinate me and I've booked it,

I have a plan to figure it out.

See you're brighter than a full moon,

But stars like you are hard to spot.

This is simply to show that I adore you,

And that you may not be my night sky,

But you're a star that My heart likes a lot.
