Flower Child

Flower child, I see you

Grown from the seed your father planted and your mother nurtured,

Your bright innocent eyes are the sharpest reflection of her,

Your smile flowing with the wind and your bright dress complimenting every curve,

While the seasons may change you still remain,

Using your eyes to illuminate your sight because

Darkness is nothing to you but an opportunity to see the stars,

And you are more fascinated by the small specks in the night,

than the star that gets all the glory in the day,

But you grasp the beauty from each one to keep the symmetry of your world in place,

The patience in your inspirations make it hard to watch,

Somebody with potential like yours makes the kernel pop,

Enjoying the seed of your existence what a lucky world it is,

Flower child, I see you

Just like I did when we were kids.
