Altered Carbon: Season 2

A member of the Flix406 team recently finished Season 2 of Altered Carbon. Here is the review:

Originally written by Richard K. Morgan, screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis has beautifully adapted the original novels for television. S2 features Anthony Mackie as Tekeshi Kovacs, Renée Goldsberry as Quellcrist Falconer, Simone Missick as Trepp, Torben Liebrecht as Colonel Carerra, and Lela Loren as Danica Harlan, to name a few.

Coming off a strong first season, the second hits full stride out of the gate with action and answers that lead to even more questions. This show knows it’s strengths and plays to them wonderfully. Seeing Mackie pick up the Takeshi Kovacs mantle who was played by a different actor (Joel Kinnaman) in the prior season is truly impressive. He has that same bad-guy, good-guy intention vibe to him with his own unique spin.

The antagonists in this season are as cruel as they are powerful; watching their stories play out were enjoyable (who doesn’t enjoy a good villain). As this futuristic sci-fi thriller unfolds and the body count grows you can only help but wonder what the endgame will be.

It’s an exciting season and will likely be here to stay, so jump on this cyberpunk epic while it’s just taking off.
