His Life

Once in a blue moon, he mentioned that he didn’t feel comfortable when staying with his boss. He sometimes made a complaint about the boss as well. He was not supposed to be upset because he realized that his boss was not great to him.

For him, he was honest to his own boss, Nate, very dearly; on the other hand, he did not know how long he could remain loyal because of being senile.

Even though he did not eat properly and on time once in a while, he still had time to take a care of his boss well. There were some times Nate scolded him lightly, especially when he was taking a nap while Nate was so hectic.

It was Friday 1967, he started making a loud we noise in the late afternoon, Nate felt drowsy at the moment and immediately stood up and felt puzzled what was going on. Nate looked around but could not find anything wrong. Today he saw his boss for the first time breaking down in tears in front of him. He wanted to mellow his boss out, but he did not know why he could not do that anymore. He heard his boss taking a deep breath and murmuring but he could not catch any words. He just read Nate's lips that came out of his boss's mouth silently; That said, 'Vodka. It is time to say goodbye, I know; there is no use conversing anything anymore. If there is anything else, I could read your mind in your eyes.' That Chesapeake Bay Retriever then closed his eyes slowly. If someone were standing there, he or she might witness that this creature appeared grinning, perking up cheerfully--the true happy ending, in other words.
