We all have the capacity to be courageous. But courage only comes after an instantaneous resolve to be utterly selfless.
Fear must become a side note in the tale we desire to leave behind if we want to give future generations hope and inspiration even if we die trying to navigate our chaotic existence. If that is man's pursuit, then all hope for the future truly lies in our hearts, the halls of our judgement and discernment and wisdom and bravery and joy and humility, but also of our arrogance and sorrow and fear and foolishness and impatience. For all of the evil found in our hearts, it is also the birthplace of hope. Wisdom is hard to be had in a heart of contempt and desire. Selflessness makes your heart a resting place for wisdom. In selflessness we can see hope for others and in time we begin to see it for ourselves.
