Every day we ask for more of this or more of that. There is always something that our human nature wants. If I only had this or if I only had that.

What about if every day we whisper to the Lord- “I want more of You” today.

Especially on those days when you just feel week and tired and nothing makes sense. Ohhh how we need Him more than the air that we breathe. More than the water we drink or the food we eat.

We are body, mind and spirit. We spend our lives feeding our bodies with the best food. We spend our lives feeding our minds with the greatest education schemes. But what about our spirits ? Now this “water” that nurtures the human spirit can only found in God. Only the one who created us can give it to us. We pay lots of money to go on expensive holidays to see stunning landscapes because something inside us is attracted by the presence of this Artist who painted every corner of this world. I strongly believe Nature reflects His beauty and splendour more than anything else. But we don’t have to go on a holiday to find God. He is right beside us. Just look at that tiny flower that grows in your garden, or that ray of light that breaks through your window first thing in the morning, or that child smiling at you when you are waiting at the post office. All these are tiny love letters sent by God to you every day. Look from them. Open them. He sent them to you, because He loves you.

Let’s not spend our lives just looking on how to feed the bodies and the minds. It’s time to lift our eyes on a daily basis to receive the “living water” that God lavishes on us when we ask Him for it.
