God's Unchanging Character

If we believe that God is good, loving, forgiving, understanding, patient, graceful, merciful, all knowing, holy just and righteous, and if we believe that He was He is and He will be forever, if we have desired to and obtained the wisdom and ability to see through His eyes and learned to emanate unconditional love in faith, because it is by faith we mortals are brought to such a state of grace and godliness, we should, in the most dire of circumstances that befall us and others, remember that God is still God and none of His character is altered by our plight. Any choice to abandon our faith in Him, The Most High, in our time of need is foolishness.

Your anger doesn't alter God's good character. Neither does your fear or doubt. Neither does your weakness or broken heart. No amount of sorrow in this earth will alter His character. Because for all of the failings and heartbreak that passes through human life that yields sin and more sadness, we have Jesus and His finished work on the cross.
