Walking a familiar path, though it's my first time here, I feel a strange familiarity with the place. Is it déjà vu, or a connection to a spiritual past? Perhaps it's both, depending on how you see it. The feeling is familiar, and that much I know.
The path is a corridor, flanked by towering thirteen-foot block walls, six feet apart. Soft gravel crunches underfoot. Above, ancient cherry blossoms form a canopy. Their blooms are full, their scent strong, carried on a warm breeze. Sunlight barely pierces through, casting a pinkish-purple glow.
The walls are rough-hewn concrete, uneven, yet fitting together seamlessly. At the end of the corridor stands a door of hickory and iron, glowing with vibrant white light from its edges. As I walk toward it, gratitude swells within me. I am thankful for the air, the warmth, the scent of blossoms. My breaths deepen, thoughts clear, focused on gratitude. Everything I've ever dreamed of has come true—true love, devotion to my child—blessings I've longed for are now mine.
At the door, the warmth of the light envelops me. The iron glows as if an inferno lies beyond. Gratitude and love guide me forward, as if I am but a satellite receiving a divine frequency. I push through the door and a wave of green lightning and white plasma swallows me. Weightless, I'm drawn in by the liquid light, hovering above the ground.
Inside is a forest of cherry blossoms and jasmine ivy. A clearing with soft grass and wildflowers, a creek with pastel blue water, and neon yellow fish. Enclosed in a luminous orb, I gaze into the sun. It appears alien, a network of neurons vibrating at ultrasonic speeds, forming an eye. The iris is opaque yellow with orange flecks; from the pupil, a mouth opens, emitting a funnel of greenish-blue clouds that touch my head.
The funnel flows with wisdom, a rushing river of numbers in code. I cannot grasp their meaning, yet the sequence speaks to me. It is the equation of life itself. The numbers quicken, a tone of 432 hertz vibrating through them. They dance and collide, creating geometric shapes, unfolding into a structure of my own design.
