The bow, the arrow and the Archer

The more the bow is stretched, the further the arrow goes. The bow is stretched to the extreme, even until the point of breaking. This precise moment of potential breaking becomes the moment of release for the arrow.

Same with us, we go though seasons of stretching when we think this is it, I’m just gonna crash, it’s just too hard; that precise moment of extreme stretch becomes the moment of release. That’s when the testing season becomes the launching season. When God takes us to unseen places and heights. He just waited for us to see if in this season of stretching we remain completely surrendered to Him, completely trusting, with our eyes on the one target, on Jesus; especially in those moments of extreme stretching. Learning to surrender. To be perfectly still, even when one just feels the shaking of the possible breaking. This is the way of the bow. The way of the arrow. We are the bow and the arrow. God is the archer. Both the bow and the arrow trust the archer completely. The longer the stretch, the further the launch. So boom! Release!

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him—”
