Time

A tree fell over but the world didn't change

Creatures of nature didn't stop breathing

The grass didn't stop growing

The wind didn't stop blowing

Hearts didn't stop aching

Waves didn't stop crashing on the shore

People didn't stop being offended

Or forgotten or seduced

No one stopped getting old

Time is still moving forward

Time has seen the death of all things

It has seen the death of love

It has seen the death of friendships, of brotherhoods and of childhood and of innocence

Too many times too count, too many times to forget

But it has seen the hope of forgiveness

The desperation of the weary and subdued

Time has seen truth and justice prevail

Time has seen the quiet over the land and for a moment almost believed that it had stopped just to take in a image of beauty

But no, time cannot comprehend the idea of slowing

It's not in a rush but is being careful of how and where it's going

And as war erupts and fists rise in revolt and fingers point in accusation

Time is still moving forward, and be aware that it cannot comprehend the idea of slowing, it's only careful of how and where it's going

But we are the cogs and we are the reason that time exists

What is our friend today must die so let die before it sin and lust and corruption of youth, pursue purity

Treasure that gift which has seen the beginning and end of every thing

make the most of this grace that is upon us

For when this mighty gift is faded it is faded for an eternity
