Do You Dread the Night?

Do you dread the night my love? Do you look at it as a time when a day shall end, and a new day will clench it's teeth around you, awaiting your actions, awaiting for you to move? Sometimes we feel as if the night takes away the pain from the day before. But what if the day was so sweet and what lies on will be so sour, that nothing compares? Is this why someone can dread the night? Maybe this is why you would, and it is why I would as well.

Do you fear of sleep my love? Do you wish to not keep your beautiful eyes closed and open them when the sun reaches its peak in the sky? Do you wish for it to never end? Do you wish for the day before to begin again? Maybe the sun will set for you and stop in the sky, so you can sleep and awaken before you must climb out of your bed to truly awaken. Maybe it will be sweet enough to give you time, to give you a moment where you can understand what lies ahead, instead of just waiting to dread, and fearing the sleep that comes with it.

Do you smile in the morning my love? Those days when your eyes must be open before the sun has even risen, do you think positively about the days ahead? Must we always plan and understand what will be happening before us, can our lives not be filled with evident surprise? This seems as if never to be. But my darling, won't you smile for me?

Do you feel refreshed in the day my love? Do you feel you can walk and feel positive about the steps ahead of you? Oh I envy you if you truly can. But do you truly see the day ahead as just a moment in time that can be achieved over and can you truly embrace those moments with open arms?

When it seems days are years, and sleep lasts only minutes. When moments in class last for centuries, but the moments together last only seconds. My dear what must we do?

The questions can't be answered by you unless you understand what the night is for, what sleep is meant to do.

This isn't a scientific cause, but a breakthrough.

This isn't a philosophy of the century, but a misconception brought to light.

So do you fear of sleep my love? Do you dread the night? Do you smile in the morning or feel refreshed in the day? Of course you do not, of course you fear, of course you dread the night where sleep seems to last minutes. Or maybe you just want it elongate. Instead of it stoping, you wish for it to continue for the rest of our lives until sleep isn't a fear, and the night is not something we dread anymore, but embrace together, side by side.

All we can truly do is wait; wait until the day we do not fear, but know what it feels to smile through the dreariest of days, when emotions only seem like walls to be broken though.

You and me, we can smile, we can feel refreshed in a matter of seconds, when the time we have together, feels nothing less than eternity.
