Small i Collective

• awareness of language (speech or script) influences bodily awareness

• incorporating the small i into conscious and subconscious (ultimately unconscious)

• limiting the use of impersonal speech (e.x. 'you know?' or 'at this time of the year you really feel down')

• embrace impersonal speech with using 'one' (e.x. 'at this time of the year one really feels down')

• the embodiment of positive language awareness illuminates relationship awareness. In each situation that has left one sour, the major culprit is language, whether script, aural, or physical.

the reemergence of the Small i Society is based on the many sources of struggle afflicting the youth of the 21st century. these sources have a common denominator, which, in our perception, is nothing other than language. the sources of this inflexible and inadequate society are based entirely within the unfortunate misuse of the English Language. this misuse has gone so far as to limit the potential energy of even its native speakers. the Small i Society believes strongly, that each additional language learned can provide key insight into one's native language, because indeed most languages one is exposed to today are the children of their Indo-European parents. we as the Small i Society wish to facilitate this new growth of language consciousness.
