Children’s greatest need

The greatest thing we could ever teach our children is about Jesus. Who He is. What He has done. Showing them that He is everything and everywhere. Parents are called for a work of planting the seeds of eternity and faith in their children’s lives. They will see Him in them. This is the most wonderful gift and investment a parent can offer to their child. God honours this work and sends His bountiful provision for this work to happen.

Annabella and me, we go for many walks in the forest by the lake and pray and sing out loud worship songs. We chat and chat and chat about Jesus. Make up songs about the Lord. We look at the squirrels and the daffodils and the robins and we see the beauty of Jesus in every living thing. He is so present. She feels Him and she starts singing and giggling.

We say out loud: GOD IS UP, AND EVERYWHERE, and then we spin around. And we laugh and laugh.

This is the real work. This is the greatest gift a parent can give to their child: tell them about Jesus. He will reveal Himself to them throughout their lives and they will flourish and tell others about Jesus.
