Parasite Review

A member of the Flix406 crew recently saw Parasite. Here’s the review:

Parasite was written and directed by Bong Joon Ho. Starring in the picture is Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun,Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam, Lee Jung-eun & Chang Hyae-jin. It’s a Korean film with subtitles.

Parasite takes place in modern-day South Korea. It tells the story of the high class Park family and the low class Kim family. Certain events lead to these families encountering through a cycle of suspense and thought provoking situations.

Parasite has witty and cynical aspects, all while building up a suspenseful and heartbreaking tale.

This movie lays out an unfortunate story of how several societies advance, but still leave their peers behind. In retrospect, it manifests the extreme measures people will take to achieve acceptance.

Bong Joon Ho directed Snowpiercer (2013) and the Netflix original Okja (2017). Parasite, his latest project, has pushed the South Korean director and screen writer to new heights

The cast was phenomenal at portraying the characters set in this film. Their acting of these characters created a great sense of realism.

Whether or not Parasite wins best picture, or Bong Joon Ho wins Best director, the Flix406 crew strongly recommends you watch this amazing movie!
