Potential Magic:
-- Potential additional character: a second female who is hispanic whose father was one of the workers who moved Janice’s shed before the hurricane. She’s a Latina punk and maybe can read some of the old Spanish (or even Mayan) texts associated with the treasure.
-- Possible towns: real 1980s Epping; real 1980s Portsmouth; Madbury?
-- Maybe Janice has a folk band called Folkus Pocus.
-- Research these guys: http://www.gravestoneservices.com/about/
-- Bertha, Althea, and Delilah Jones are turtles.
Iain Chisholm was pissed.
The thirteen-year-old sat in the northbound Greyhound bus and stared at the back of the seat in front of him and sulked.
Iain had gotten pretty skilled at sulking lately, ever since his parents’ divorce, his dad’s remarriage to a woman nearly a decade younger than him, and now the move from their home in Boston to West Butt Crack, New Hampshire.
Iain was so pissed, in fact, that he reached into his jeans jacket pocket, pulled out a pen knife, and cut an angry “X” into the fake leather of the seat back in front of him.
