God’s filter

One of my best friends that I love so much, has this beauty filter on her phone. Every time we meet and we want to take a photo together, I ask her - do you still have that beauty filter on your phone? She always says yes. We laugh and then we say let’s take a photo because we know we will look great even if we are tired or sweaty or our makeup is all over the shop! Now, this photo filter just makes you look like you have the most radiant, beautiful, young, glowing face with a shiny perfect style hair- ten years younger as well! If you take a selfie it just makes you go -ohh I look really good I’m beautiful I’m really attractive :)

Now, this is how God sees us in Christ. Christ is the beauty filter. When we have accepted Jesus in our hearts as our saviour, God’s filter has changed. He doesn’t see anymore the sin, the hurts, the past, the heartache, the tiredness, the upset - He just sees us as:

Beautiful.

Radiant.

Glowing.

Shining.

Perfect.

God’s using the filter of Love to look at us.

How nice that is to know the Creator of the universe sees you this way.

We are all special. Let’s remind ourselves daily about the beauty filter. God’s love filter if not just for an instant effect. It’s for eternity. What ?
