Part I - a naked teenaged boy is wondering thru a mystical hall of lights, the tunnel is full of Windows that show different people making love.... A gentle feminine voice soothingly asks young O to choose the parents to which he wishes to be born.... He examines each couple and asks the goddess questions.... The first window is a rich King making love to a young slave, she is obviously being brutalized.... The second window shows simply a man and women making love on a mountain top.... He quickly chooses them obviously horrified by the first choice.... The goddess voice welcomes him to his birth and he is taken away by a flock of doves....
Part 2 - O is born to very poor parents who obviously live in ruins.... The sound of the clock thunders as we watch O's mother and father carry him thru a dark forest and drop him off at the doors of a nunnery. They weep silently as they say goodbye to their child of love.
Part 3 - The nunnery door opens and we see 8 nuns standing in the doorway. At first only one nun speaks and she always stands in the Center of them, they always move together in unison like a flock of geese. Later we find that they are a shared collective consciousness but all have different goddess archetypes. Each of the goddess/nuns teaches Dr. O different life lessons which form his personality, he is a very naturally sweet boy, in touch with nature, and has a higher understanding of life, the universe, and also has a confident sense of "knowing". We see tension begin to escalate as the head priest gets jealous of O's organic knowledge, and hates the fact that he not only gets so much attention from the nuns, but always seems to be happy no matter what task he is given, or what life throws at him. The priest intentionally tries to sabotage O again and again, but each sabotage blows up in the priest's face and O comes out of the situation stronger and more learned. He gives him chores that seem impossibly tedious, but he builds machines and devices that help him finish the chores faster and also helps the church begin to run like a well oiled machine. Instead of being grateful that O's presence is making things better, and having everything run so well...he finally gets fed up to the point that at 8 years old, he sells O to a wealthy baroness who is fascinated by the boy's wisdom, and knack for invention. To the baroness O is like a pet oracle and idea machine which she purchases for her own pleasure. He goes from a pious life at the humble church, to living in luxury at a gorgeous estate. The baroness has more of a fascination for O then love, and she is not only intrigued by his "knowing" but also the kindness he has in his heart. He creates similar "chore machines" for the butlers, maids and servants at the estate and the baroness' fascination begins to turn to love, as she realizes that O is a very selfless individual and is extremely gifted...she then decides her life's purpose is to help him get an education so he can put his inventions out into the world, and become cultured as his creativity is enhanced.
part 4 - We see Dr. O get sent off to boarding school, which is bittersweet for the baroness as she got so comfortable with having him around and realized how much love she had for him, but finds peace in the part she played in his life. At boarding school we see O come of age, and mature into young-adulthood. At his first semester of high school (14 years old) he is in advanced classes on all levels, but science is where he is most excited to dive into. He walks into his first science class, and locks eyes with the teacher who is strikingly beautiful. Completely natural, perfect skin, perfect hair...no need for a stitch of makeup. She radiates with an ethereal glow and has a very "fairy" like quality to her. O becomes completely enamored by her presence, and after the first class about atomic structure, he goes back to his dorm and has an intense lucid wet-dream where he is making love to the teacher and as they are making love, they shape shift into atoms and their energy becomes combined into one, and then BOOM...the big bang happens and they explode together in orgasmic energy as they become two separate galaxies in the universe. O wakes up inspired, and this is where he realizes that there is some power behind an orgasm that needs to be further explored...the fascination begins, and sex, orgasms, and the universe penetrate his thoughts 24/7. Time goes by, he graduates high school and goes to college where he meets Freud.
(Here we continue where I started originally) Freud is a fraud in O's eyes. Logic vs. Reason. O challenges the
current paradigm, spends lots of time studying/analyzing, and is met
with adversity from the other students who are still swimming in the
Freud Kool Aid. where he sees Start off with young Dr. O being in school, being taught by Freud.
Like Edison and Tesla there is a budding rivalry and tension builds
between the two. O questioning Freud's theories leads him to challenge
the existing "model" by discovering a new one.
The AH-HA moment where O discovers Orgone-orgasmic-orgastic energy. The dots finally connect and he understands the REAL power of the orgasm that stemmed from his inspired dream. Beginning of his sexual revolution - the sexual revelation....
Part 5-
O has a chance meeting with his assistant (the vibrator wearing one),
and asks him to come work with him for his new project. O opens up his
Sexual Revolution Orgasm clinic, and this is where we can have a lot
of fun with the different clients coming through for orgasm therapy,
etc. He has eight female clients one for each deadly sin and the last is the woman who is to become his true love... Lust, the first one, she is a extremely wealthy baroness and tries to jump O's bones as soon as she enters his office, very slapstick chasing around the room until he can finally tie her down and hook her up to his machines, she is so horny as he attaches all his gadgets and basically explodes with orgasmic power... Miss Gluttony comes second.... She says she can only orgasm if she is eating chocolate eclairs.... O feeds her many eclairs and nothing seems to happen, then she clears her throat and whispers in his ear that she needs them stuffed into her ass.... This ritual will be chock full of gastric jokes, lots of queefing and flatulence. Then comes Miss Greed, she comes in and wants to buy O's assistant, she insists that O's assistant be the one to probe her, O allows the assistant to start the research and holds a bag I front of them where she keeps dumping large amounts of money and jewelry and gold coins as she screams in ecstasy. Miss Sloth, is a very lazy patient, she is always yawning and falling asleep, her very tiny little murmurs and squeaks are as quiet as a mouse, and when she reaches climax she falls asleep again. Miss Wrath, Miss Envy and Miss pride come in at the same time.... Three sisters who are just plain terrifying.... And who insist on being together and wanna compete and show the doctor who can orgasm the best... During this appointment O has his hands full very literally.... As he and his assistant race around trying to please the three demon witches at the same time, they make horrific guttural monster sounds as they all climax, they also keep checking the other sisters and keep trying to out do them.... After they leave O is exhausted .
Part 6 DREAM SEQUENCE
O begins to be overwhelmed by women coming for sex therapy, and with
this success - he begins to have an internal struggle with the
direction his discovery is headed. Fear, ego, overwhelming thoughts.
Because of this, O starts having very lucid dreams/nightmares about
women having orgasms - they become the "Tell Tale Heart" of his
existence, and it goes from something that gives him pleasure to
something that he dreads.
Part 7
O has a second encounter with his future wife, but this time he is
more emotionally available as his work is no longer pleasure, because
pleasure is his work. He doesn't want to have pleasure feel like work
anymore, and this time he allows himself to open up to the possibility
of pursuing the passion they first experienced together but on a more
intimate level instead of just "robotic". Her goddess energy renews
his confidence, and through the act of making love, not just fucking
or pleasuring someone for profit, he decides to focus on harnessing
the Orgastic energy for other projects.
Part 8
O is approached by a group of hillbilly farmers, who complain about the terrible drought that has nearly destroyed all their crops... The ask him to build a machine to make it rain and save their food supply. The head farmer said that he had a dream where Jesus came unto him and told him to find a man of science and beg him to help. So he is here to beg!!!
With a renewed confidence, O puts the Orgasm clinic in his
assistant's capable/eager hands, and decides to put his focus in to
the creation of the Cloud Buster. Harnessing Orgastic energy, he
masters the elements and the Cloud Buster is able to make weather, and
take weather away. With the introduction of the Cloud Buster, we first
get a glimpse at the Dark Forces (FDA/Government) taking an interest
in his work, and spying on what he is doing to try and start building
a case against him. Commander Fist is an undercover secret agent working for his high commander
J. Edwin Mover, leader of the fascist FDA. Commander Fist comes and reports back to Mr. Mover,
he informs him of the dangers of Dr. O. After there very alpha male meeting they end up in a romantic embrace.
They are a love story...... of hate!
Part 9
The creation of the Cloud Buster opens a vortex for alien contact. At
this time, O starts having contact with a group of Alien muppets that
communicate with him when he dreams. They start giving him prophetic
messages and warnings about what the future has in store now that the
FDA has gotten knowledge of his work. I envision the aliens being
really cute/muppety with very funny voices. They
communicate through singing songs, and I feel like if there were 3-4
of them it would create a really funny dynamic during these dream
sequence songs. They serve as his spirit guides, but also a bit of
comic relief as well. At this point O realizes that his destiny is to
be a martyr, and like Christ - he knows that he will meet his death,
but the message outweighs his human fate.
Part 10
While the prophetic alien dreams have a dire final outcome, instead of
feeding into O's fear, he takes the messages he receives and trasmutes
them into a positive forward motion. With this shift in consciousness
O decides to open up Orgonon, his own Temple of Orgastic knowledge.
Part 11
O opens Orgonon, and he begins to teach the Orgasmic gospel, and
Orgastic energy potential to students/disciples. He is haunted by
visions of what his fate will be, but he does not let the fear drown
his progress. FDA starts spying on him again, we see them parked
outside of Orgonon in black cars, watching his every move.
Part 12
O gets served court papers from the FDA, but he dismisses them and
continues his mission. He refuses to go to court dates, and rages
against the system. The disciples continue to grow in large numbers
and Orgonon in thriving. During this time his wife seems to be literally turning blue.
She begins to transform into a goddess....
Part 13
Another set of Alien Dreams - more prophecies are revealed. Alien
wisdom tells O to prepare for his "Crucifixition" and to make sure to
protect his research because it is to be destroyed. O rushes to
make copies and make sure that the gospel is preserved to the right
disciples who will pass the message along after he meets his fate. He starts to become more and more insane. He then has a vision about his wife, and that he must make her into part machine and birth his own robot son.
Because O and his wife could not have children, and he knows he will
be meeting a dire fate - he wants to pass on his knowledge to a
"child" of his own creation. This is where we can have the robot baby
come into play. He creates the robot baby which his wife gives birth
to, and is programmed as a "super computer" containing all of his
research.
He begins the process of mechanizing the bottom half of his wife, and builds her into something resembling a half woman half hot rod. This is done with a beautiful soundtrack of 50's doowop ballads, making the process completely and utterly romantic.
Part 14
O knows the FDA is coming to get him any minute now, so as his magnum
opus he decides to use the Cloud Buster to create a super storm which
saves the crops of a farm that had been experiencing a terrible
drought for months. As the rain pours, lightning crashes, and thunder
drums...the FDA appears again, but this time they have special agents
who are prepared to arrest O and take him away. As the storm grows wilder, O begins the birthing of his robot son, and as he holds the newborn in the air, the police bust into his lab and arrest him, they proceed to smash all his research in a frenzy of strobe lights we watch the destruction of all his work.... And the tragic death of his wife by the police.
Part 15
O is taken to jail and there he writes a letter to his son.... He is so desperate after the letter is written that he goes on his knees and appeals to the aliens to give him some light..... He prays for illumination.
Part 16
O is at peace with the final moments he has left on this terrestrial
realm. He accepts his mission whole heartedly, and prepares for his
ascension to higher realms.
Part 17
Students sift through the ashes of Orgonon, hoping to find any
remnants of work that may have survived the fire. A student finds a
strange box that some how did not perish in the disaster...the box
opens, and inside we find a tape recording. Later that evening the
students all gather together and listen to the recording...that
recording is the final recording of Wilhelm Reich (maybe we could use that audio?).
Part 18
As O is beginning to wither away in jail, and his health begins to
fade - the students start spreading the message of his work, and
create their own counter culture movement (like early Christianity).
They travel the world teaching the gospel, and living his legacy. The
robot baby is the idol that is worshipped as the token of O's work,
and O's suffering (like the living crucifix of Christ). This is done by splitting the stage in two parts, one side is O suffering in prison and the other side shows his students spreading the good word all over the world.
Part 19
O's health begins to fail, and he has flash backs of his life - the
mistakes he made, the adversity he faced (Freud stuff), the wisdom he
found and taught to others. This is where we see his own life review
as he begins to fade out.
Part 20 - 21
O dies "The Little Death" and is taken into space by the aliens that
were in his dreams in a crazy/cosmic pyramid. The message lives on through his students and teachings as O observes from his cosmic observatory in the next
dimension. The aliens take him to their Temple of the Holographic
Universe, and O is welcomed as the saint of the orgasmic energy. He is then hovering above in flight..... And recieves his wings..... The stage turns back into the same place in scene one.... And O is naked again.... Walking down a path of illumination and is asked by the goddess voice about which parents he would like to choose.... The windows this time show cells, and complicated biological microbes.... He chooses the window of the amoeba and returns to the earth in microscopic form....
THE END
Important note for set design..... During the whole play there is the death bust of wilhelm reich which I actually have access to, this bust is in elevated above every scene and is reflected in many mirrors around it, almost like the eyes of a fly.... His bust is the pupil to this and it is supposed to represent one giant orgone molecule.... This molecule will be lit in many different ways depending on what is happening in the scene below.... For example during the research part it will glow and radiate many colours.... And finally at the end will be the only thing left to see on stage.... His real death bust!!!!!
