Big Bang
I had a thought about the expanding universe and the expanding consciousness.
What if, perhaps, human consciousness mimics the universe in the way it oscillates? What if, like the Big Bang and Big Crunch, the human mind goes through the same expansion and contraction? While in corporeal form my consciousness is contracted within the confines of my brain. When I die my consciousness expands to fill infinite space and dimension.
Perhaps my expanding postmortem consciousness overlaps with the expanding consciousnesses of other deceased people? We become a Jungian collective consciousness when we leave this life--a giant Venn diagram of overlapping souls.
Perhaps in our contracted, physical minds we cannot fully connect with or communicate with our fellow beings, but in the afterlife we can.
We are all like Whovian TARDISes: bigger on the inside than on the outside. Our minds are their own infinite universes.
