Listen

a sonnet

All I can do is tell you how the world

looks from where I pause to see the view,

And really that's all you can do for me.

Then maybe between you and me we two

can create a stereoptic like scene,

If we only take the time to listen.

If I take time to listen to you well

Maybe I will see things accurately.

Together maybe we can teach people

to see the Beauty we see all around.

The Beauty that is here in you and me

and out there hidden in flower and tree;

In all the creatures of Earth, Sky, and Sea.

All I should do is listen well to you!
