“ A true story of a friendly neighbourhood that tie ends to it’s serenity and support with major plot twist and cliffhangers.”

Chapter 1

Hidden

The neighbourhood was known for a good reputation and a serene environment for decades, not even any news coverage spotted a single remark for the public. Years and years people dwelled happily and even after moving to overseas, they called that district their home, not even their country. Not even any household had to gossip for others; amiable, yet cherished aura they gave to each other, neither any noir circumstances occurred to any individual in that neighbourhood.

“How far can we go to see any insight like never before?”. “Well dear, nothing stays in eternity in this universe ,that is a doctrine of life I suppose”. Something explosive happened to the people’s heart when it comes to adhere that tale, not even the district’s head believed, but after that incident he moved away.

A family lived there of two siblings ; older brother, Kaiser and a sister, Shagufta. Shagufta was taciturn and reserve, however Kaiser was a humble gentleman with representable looks. Kaiser used to work in bank as a manager, whilst his sister stayed home. Neither they disturbed the neighbours or anyone in surroundings, seemed peaceful and someone whom you could be easily be closed to.What went wrong after all?

They were distant members of the small district without any social activities, specially Shagufta. They were merely seen in parking lot, in a car talking for an hour before heading home, however we can not assume they were just “chatting” as they had black sun shades concealing their activities. Nearby people ponder about it in their heads, but chose to ignore, until nights later a news broke “Kaiser died”.

The head and nearby families gathered at her apartment ; they knocked, however could not see any sight of her. It went on for days. Neighbours took the responsibility to take care of a female living solely in her place. People thought maybe she was at her parent’s home.

Two days later, she was found stepping down from the bus at the stop ; strangely wearing full makeup and people asked about her whereabouts earlier days, she answered in unctuous tone,“I have buried my brother days ago.He had a heart attack. I am well”.She walked towards her apartment, hastily.

Chapter 2

Probe

District’s head collected his alias and went to deceased’s sister for her care and any aid requirement, but she did not answer the door. They asked to the next door, however they had no idea of her current situation furthermore they continued, “ we used to hear her scream for help at every dawn”. The chief suspected it might be a vindictive behaviour if she crossed the line to succumb him, on the contrary he remembered her response that she was away to burry him.

Chief commanded one of his aligned member to look after her, whilst one family tied to give her food and daily necessities just in case. Days passed till another suspension happened; she was not at home for days yet never answered her door. The follower by chief checked her for few days and noted she visits alleyways near the hospital and graveyard. His search did not last long. Families gathered in bunch and made her as subject to talk about, however the gossips grew further when she was caught heading home alone at night where she prolonged with Kaiser in afternoon, Kaiser was nowhere near with her from that day.

A black and white footage showed their white posh car parked where they both stepped out from, on the same token her return was sole.District felt a burden of responsibility to initiate in this as the funeral should take place, along with eulogy by neighbours or his friends. This questioned them that no relative nor any co-worker came to visit her for care and commiserate for Kaiser.

An illusion was made that she martyred her brother, and rapidly the head tagged along with few cops covertly for the insight, until they found her in car and sensed she was in their for days. Generously, men tried to talk her out about it and walked her out of the vehicle , unfortunately their approach failed as she remained stubborn in her seat that smelled faeces and discharge which made them gagged out. She murmured tearfully ,“I saw my brother there”.

Neighbourhood was aloof between two , where some voted for her being a murderer, in the same way some adhere his death shuffled her psychologically.

Chapter 3

Stop Up For Days

Same night, she got up from car and went to her place to make her settle. Astonishingly it was not a place like home ; the entrance with a narrow clean path with no dust as the viewers look to their right side, there was a pile of garbage assembled chronologically covering one fifth of the room. Garbage bags tied and organised as cement bricks for construction, however it’s smell nearly rotted people mind and that pushed them out of the house for retch. Only the gallant ones forced themselves to barge in again to investigate with cops, meanwhile she pushed them away to prevent them for coming.

A female cop went inside to check her up and the place. The narrow pathway took them to three rooms; the kitchen, which was tiny but no where to stand as large buckets of varied colours blocked their way. From far only they could capture the rusted stove and cracked marble countertops, along with blue wall paint crumbled away, and disposable midnight blue cups were arranged on the counter in a row.

They roam to another room which was clean and broom, but had no inventory. Merely the vacant room with ruby carpet had a closet of Kaiser’s sophisticated clothes hung; as people mentioned he use to dressed as fashion of city for his work. On the way to another room, the room was not spared with buckets of acid, a wooden cupboard of the sister’s dresses and a fridge. They only slept in two mattresses which they shared, that had a knife placed on it which made all the ladies to think of “incest”.

The last room aside from bedrooms was a small lavatory, which was decayed not just with tore off wall paint, but rusted marble work of sink and it’s nearby tiles along with toilet which has not swab for days, yet it’s seat was broken. From distant they could see the flush button was stuck with its flush valve parts seemed blocked.

Some people captured the house with camera, while other saw a small paper says “do not call anyone if we both passed away” was paste on wall.

Pariahs in the group had their eyes widen and went back to their home after this horrendous view, however the one with probe duties puked after this incident. She was under the pressure of questions being thrown to her by chief and cops ; to the question marks she answered “ I was in car for two days and drove the body for a day for burial. I even knocked the door of my uncle and he gave no response”. Some individuals shifted her as an innocent lass, however others were still in doubt and roused for days with disgust.

Chapter 4

Visitor

Next evening when she was at home and not responding the door. A bald head man with white beard and a chubby frame walk in to her place with his young offspring and wife. He stated to the peer that they were never in contact, and went to comfort her, as he came out the neighbours asked about his connection. Referring himself as her uncle, and told them her mother died twelve years ago when they used to live few blocks away. Contrary, he muted himself when the question popped up about not present at his farewell, which made the girls next door in suspension, neither found out the cause of her death.

He went home with baggage of deceased’s clothes and presumably money according to some people after days, since Kaiser was a bank manager he earned a lot. The chief questioned her about her guardian and no co workers visited, she answered “Kaiser never chatted with anyone at office, and I don’t know she just died”,remark that astonished him with the remaining fellows who stood with him in this case.

Neighbourhood end up with never ending conversation about this situation which spread swiftly ; from friends going out on a walk and pointing out her place, where mothers covered their heads with shawl at doorsteps and continued conversation about her as vice , men were disgusted by her house interior, as some presume she went shrew on the sibling, while some talked about her as opposite yet expecting her uncle in suspect of crime.

Months passed by, where the head got to know that the follower they commanded to was no longer focusing on his task. His facepalm expression every morning and risking himself again to secure the district was becoming tougher each day, remarkably when his instincts knocks him with few words, “he was not buried”. He often had a glance of her heading back home from somewhere, yet at times she was not present in her home.

Weeks later, Shagufta was no longer a visitor of her rented apartment, as people adjoined at her doorstep. A cradle was seen by their eyes and found her laid with her arm resting on her face and eyes shut. Her neighbours saw his uncle alone with cradle yet no sign of sympathy, “she is gone, forever”. Small group of each households’ members rushed to him about the reason of being succumbed, which he answered, “starvation”. Hearing this made them alert to one household who were responsible of arranging comestible for her, with remorse they answered “she never opened the door. Whenever she did , it was always a refusal to avoid being harmed”.

Chapter 5

The Mother

Indiscriminately, another relative came, with a spitting image of deceased siblings’ uncle who took interest in this case. As people got closer to him,he got known as “another uncle” of the decedents, that made chiefs and community in doubt that he was not present in Kaiser’s death. However, he exposed another house location where both siblings lived before their mother’s death, yet continued “they were normal before my sister’s death, after that gradually things worsen”.

“Unfortunately, not even a single hint of their mother’s slain was declared” these words were like cadence in heads of whole neighbourhood. The never ending discussions about how Kaiser and his mother died ; lasses presumed Shagufta killed them, men were having doubts on their uncles, as rumours spread that the other uncle came for money that were hidden in pile of garbage bags. Some spread out Kaiser performed molest and battery on her at every early dawn, however they never forgot their uncle’s words “ they were ill”.

Two weeks after Shagufta’s passing. A deep sigh from each household members while facing their television screen , and having a sip of their teas. Their eyes were stuck on that red headline with white bold alphabets , “a dead body found in garbage few blocks away”. Screen also showed the audience of a footage, a man dressed in burgundy baggy clothes holding a corpse with his two bare hands along with an alias, who opened the car’s back trunk for him. Camera zoomed and there was a woman sitting at a front seat.

District recognised him as “The chubby uncle” with his eldest son taking a corpse together. Cops rushed to drag him to the station while others searched for the body, meanwhile chief and his companions went along. Within few hours, cops and news casters were in the community, chief was flushed with embarrassment and so the people who use to call this sector their home. The reputation of that place was drowned, yet the place was highlighted in the news.

Another video was leaked during the intensive span of the uncle being interrogated where he uttered, “ we never knew how my sister died, they never told us”. So one of the cops asked “how did you found out?”, “she was in deep freezer for twelve years” he answered. Cop asked “ Neither were you in concern of her death or offsprings?” and continued “you threw her in alley”. This comment made him pause yet confused.

Meanwhile, hounds were found tracking in Shagufta’s apartment while the cops cornered the uncle’s son for the corpse and further suspensions. As soon he cleared himself as clean that they never let us in contact and walked out, where hounds barked loud and a cop opened the fridge. Torch light brightened the object, while his jaw dropped and murmured, “chopped meat?”.

Whole district started to blare about that there was a sibling war, yet some said she killed her mother, whilst some people heard “uncles and nephews were in this, so their wives for their money
