Her eyes were rimmed with tears as she yawned.

Her bedsheets were in a tangle around her legs.

She tugged her legs out and sat up.

She woke up with a bloody nose.

She laughed at it once she cleaned up.

It went along with her nightmare.

She wasn't sure why it was funny, but it was.

She thought that she wasn't scared.

Her eyes fluttered open.

Her heart was warm and fuzzy.

For a moment, she thought she had succeeded.

She remembered when she was little.

It felt good after a bad day.

She screamed in her sleep.

The nightmare from when she had the bloody nose was back.

She knew she was scared.

She never liked being scared,

and she didn't like not knowing things.
