Butterflies and the story of Evi (the man who knew the fae)

Some months had past since the old woman Lilly had visited the house. Ella and her family were coming on to one full year of having this beautiful baby in their lives. Her birthday would be in a couple weeks and they had yet to see any of these changes that Lilly had spoke of.

There were so many things to get ready just for one child's birthday. Cake, gifts and not to mention now that her daughter was found to also be part fairy she would have to take other things into consideration. Like for instance, what if she has relatives that find out about her?

Ella would need to research her child's needs as they came up but a good place to start would be to learn as much about this human father and Fae mother when and as soon as she could. She would also want to be prepared for the other things that may pop up. If in fact if she is of all four elements than learning about all the different Fae and learning everything she could would be most helpful.

Ella had heard of a man in the village who claimed to know the fairies and she was hoping his claims were right. She was going to go find him in the morning. She would tag along with the boys and her husband on their trip to the village. While they did their errands she would look for this gentleman. She was told that he worked in the stables.

The morning came and they traveled to the village as a family. The boys went to run errands and the girls went to look for the stables. Hopefully there would be some one who could help them out.

Ella and Evi came across the front entrance and Ella walked them inside. She wasn't sure who to ask for since she had only heard of the man and she only saw two individuals and one looked no more than 16 years of age. There is no way he could be the man. So she walked towards the older one, he looked about in his 30s and proceeded to ask, "I'm looking for a man who claims to know the Fae?"

The gentlemen looked up from his job and replied, "who may I ask are you and who told you about my grandfather"? Ella explained to him how she had heard about him and how she was curios as to weather or not the stories were true. She did not mention any thing about Evi, since she really wasn't sure she trusted anyone out side the family to know.

The gentlemen looked Ella over and said, "fallow me but just don't go telling him ya saw Fae yourself or he'll never stop talking". Ella nodded and fallowed the gentlemen into the back of the stables towards a door. She walked through the door and on the other side was a small room packed with all sorts f strange little items. There were smooth sticks with ruins written on them, and there surface was smooth and polished.

There was a table with a black obsidian orb on a wooden stand. When she walked past she could see more than just her reflection. She could see a girl, young maybe fiveish. She saw a garden, it was her garden at home and as the girl turned around she had wings coming out from behind her. They were beautiful blue and gold and fluttered every time the girl laughed.

She finally came up on a chair where an old man in his 60s was sitting. He looked pale and tired like he had seen and done a lot in his day. The man in the chair addressed Ella and asked her how she found him. She explained how she had heard of him and proceeded to tell her story. Well not to much just enough to hopefully be able to get some leads or information out of him about the Fae.

The old man did not know much but he prided himself on what he did. He told Ella about the human who had befriended the fairy girl and the wish she had made. He even claimed that he knew the boy. Ella cleverly asked the old man if the boy ever knew of the child and if he knew where it was. The old man explained that the boy didn't know of the child. He also did happen to know where the fairy mother was....

Ella couldn't believe what she was hearing, there was an excitement but at the same time she was scared. She was afraid because if she found the parents she would not want to give them the baby. She loved Ev with all her heart and soul this was her daughter. At the same time she had to still be able to do what's best for her daughter. So she asked the man, "what happened to the mother"?

The old man explained, "after the child was conceived by the elementals the young Fae knew she couldn't take on that responsibility on her own". He than proceeded to explain how the fairy took the child to the realm of humans and left the babe never to be seen again. Ella knew enough, well she knew all that was going to help her and that wasn't much. The old man did tell her that if she wanted to speak to the Fae all she had to do was wish for it on a star before falling asleep. If her need was great and intent pure than the elements would hear her wish and grant it.

So Ella knew what she had to do and what she was going to do when the time was right. Evilyns birth date was getting closer and Ella just knew something was going to come up and she didn't want to be in the dark. She left the old mans home at the stable and bid the to boys working there good day. She met up with her family and explained what she learned and now needed to think very hard about what exactly she was going to wish for.
