Mankind has the capacity for goodness but is by nature, because we don't lack knowledge, evil. Self interest helps to create a facade to downplay self interest; our will to survive or our desire to succeed in society. Yet we cannot help but sympathize with others when their pain speaks to us. In every age and in every moment of desperation or necessity, the good thing took such great courage. Humans together prefer swift and definitive action to be taken.

Undoubtedly it is good to help another. If every time you'd pass up the opportunity to help someone they'd kill over on the spot, mankind would have ceased to exist long ago.

But conscious is a weight. Because of it, we're just taking longer to die off. And thankfully people don't die just because they're not shown a simple kindness.
