30 Seconds ⏱

I had 30 seconds...

And in that time my hands started shaking

My head started spinning

My breathing got heavy

My steps got longer

My chest started aching

My memories started racing...

I had 30 seconds...

& so my choices started crawling

My voices started marching

My answers stared echoing

My ears started ringing & I...

I stopped breathing

It only took 30 seconds...

From the top to the bottom

When my soul stood still, I froze...

From the top to the bottom

I forgot how to be alive...

I had 30 seconds down the escalators today and I panicked...

I panicked because in 30 seconds, 100 triggers occurred

I remember what it was with you

And in those 30 seconds I panicked,

Forgetting myself see that's a trigger and it only takes 30 seconds from the top to the bottom to stop breathing.
