Our Christmas miracle

Looking at our baby girl this Christmas, at her innocence and purity reminds me of the baby in the stable born more than 2000 years ago. Jesus came into this world as a baby, in the most vulnerable, pure and humble human form one can think of. What we celebrate at Christmas is not just a nice old story, but it’s actually celebrating the One who came into this broken world for us. I see Him at work in our lives every day in wonderful and caring ways. This week He protected us as a family from harm in ways that no one else could have done it. He is real. His power is infinite, and the human mind can never comprehend what it meant for Him to leave heaven and come to this earth and die for our sins. He is the air that we breath, the light that we see, the inexplicable force that drives our lives to heights we could never get to on our own, the joy that floods our hearts, He is the hope of this world. Who needs dead religion when the world is starving for love ? Jesus came and stopped for the one, He cared for individuals, for the broken, for the forgotten, never condemning but just loving. May this Christmas we get our gaze on Him and be filled with the wonder of who Christ is. He started humbly as a baby and died an innocent death for our sins, so that we can have eternal life. That tiny baby in a stable took the weight of the whole world on His shoulders for each one of us. He deserves all our adoration this Christmas. Not the Christmas shopping, not the glitter, not the parties, not the crowds, not the decorations, not the traditions, not the food, not the drinks, but Him we want this Christmas. All the rest He just adds up in abundance anyway. He is longing for our hearts this Christmas. He gives us a JOY that doesn’t stop when Christmas finishes.
