Pokemon: The New Future

A long time ago, through the Pokemon world, there was peace. Places prospered, science grew, all the villains of the old world died out, people and Pokemon seemed close. When everyone thought all would be perfect, the utopia was destroyed. A group of scientists were not fans of Pokemon and used their abilities to find a way to change Pokemon into People. One scientist in particular went insane. He experimented day after day on his Pikachu. One day he thought he figured out his formula, and he set up a giant satellite that would shoot into space, send out signals and make the world a human utopia. He did, but it went horribly wrong, the satellite exploded, stealing away his life. As the signal continued it rampaged, it mutated the formula. When it hit the Pokemon it did partially change them, but they kept traits of their Pokemon forms (animal parts like ears and tails, and their Pokemon abilities). Not only did it mutate Pokemon, it mutated humans. They either died instantly or mutated to the Pokemon nearest to them. Because of these changes the utopia was destroyed and everything changed.

On a dark day a creature sleeps in a large mountain. It had been asleep in what once was an open cave. The cave entrance was blocked by a huge rock that seemed to be put there by whoever was inside. The creature didn't stir, it had been in a permanent state of hibernation, and It didn't so much as roll over or adjust itself the entire time it slept. A whisper floated through the air, asking for a hero to rise. It floated around the mountain and found its way into the cave of the creature. The call shook the cave, and in the moment of silence, it screamed. The creature opened its eyes. It's roar filled the mountain atmosphere, and suddenly the cave door was blown open. Regigas walked out of its cave, stepping on all the rubble. It cursed itself for not having woken up sooner. Suddenly a little boy ran up to the scary Pokemon. "Miss, are you ok?" he said. Regigas looked at the boy quizzically. "What do you want human?" Regi replied. The boy became angry and shouted, "I'm not a human, I'm a Houndour! What are you!? If anything you are the human!" Regi was blown away by this, how rude of a human to say such a thing. Not meaning to it looked down at its hands and began to freak out. It began to run toward the edge of the cliff. It jumped of the ridge and slid down it toward the small pond that sat on a lower ledge. The Houndour human looked down in shock and got closer to the edge. Regigigas got to the water and saw its reflection. It had the body of a girl, not quite a woman and two giant white pigtails stretched from two rings that sat on her head. Her outfit resembled that of the Regigigas form she once had. Moss grew on her feet, shoulders, and on the rings on her head. She had shining yellow eyes and was very, very cute. The young Houndour kid began to peer too far over the edge and he slipped, which sent him tumbling down after her. Turning to face the loud noise of the young person falling, Regigigigas began to walk toward it. She picked up the child and held it in the air. "Who are you? What are you," she demanded,"What happened to me!" The kid looked annoyed. "First put me down, then I'll answer your questions," he stated. Reluctantly she set him down and restated her previous questions.

"Well for starters, I'm a human-Houndour hybrid, the names Emitt," he began," I'm not sure what human-Pokemon hybrid you are. I've never seen anyone like you. What's your name?"

"Regigigas," she simply stated.

"NO WAY! That's so cool! I never knew what you looked like! But anyway, What's you human name?" he replied.

She paused, she had never been given a name. "I don't have one," she finally answered.

"Then I'll name you," he said. She nodded and allowed him to do so. "How about... hmmm.. Oh I know! ALICE!"

And just like that her name was Alice, the Human-Regigigas hybrid.

Then she remembered her last question and reminded the boy to answer it, since she freed him. "Wait, you seriously don't know?" he asked. Alice shook her head, she had no clue how she and everyone else took the form of a pitiful human. Emitt let out a sigh.

"Come with me," he said, "and I'll explain."

"Ugh, where are we going,"Alice whined,"Why are we taking so long to get their?"

"Will you just chill out,"Emitt Growled.

They had been walking for an hour or so. "Look I'm just taking you to my village and the current home of my friends," Emitt finally said.

Alice was relieved to actually hear her destination but became quizzical. "Why did you walk so far away from your village," She wondered out loud to him. "I was scouting for attackers, it was my turn this time to defend the town," he replied solemnly.

Alice was confused, Emitt was so young. How could someone send him, a low level Pokemon, to do such a task. Though she stayed quiet, figuring all would be explained in time.

The two came to a cliff side and looked over the edge. In the valley at the edge of the cliff sat the rubble of a destroyed city. Alice's eyes widened with horror. She couldn't believe anyone ACTUALLY lived in this mess. They began to walk down the once existing road, toward the city.

"Don't worry, the village is nicer than this," Emitt said to relive Alice. She merely nodded, looking around at the disaster.

"This is what was left after the Pokemon-people revolt. No human city survived. Now we live in hidden places among a new civilization," Emitt said.

"They did this, to ALL the cities?" Alice shook with anger. Emitt merely nodded in sadness.

They got to the end of the city limits where a door on the ground laid. Emitt raised it up and ushered Alice in, following her, he shut the door.

The village was in a giant under ground cavern, surrounded by many smaller caverns. They were almost at the main entrance, and several Poke-People stared at the unique Pokemon, making her uncomfortable.

As they approached the entrance, they were stopped.

"You two stop, You need clearance to enter this area. If you take one more step, I'll kill you," a soldier yells

"Xavier its me, Emitt. I have clearance," Emitt says defensively.

"Yes, but how dare you bring an outsider, expecially this.... what is this," the soldier stammers, madly.

"Hold on, is that Pokemon-Person a gallade?!??" Alice blurts.

"What's it too ya?" the Gallade growled at Alice,"At least I'm a real Pokemon! What are you?! A surviving human? Planning an attack! WHAT!"

"What the hell are you talking about!" Alice blurted. She hadn't seen this kind of Pokemon in years, and for him to be in a human form was weird to her. Even though she was excited, it didn't change the fact that she was annoyed and ticked at him for attacking her with such weird and rude questions.

She began to speak up to him, when an older Pokemon walked in between them.

"How dare you yell at that girl like that," the elderly man yelled at the Gallade.

"Old Man Chronos Electrivire! I was just... she is---" the Gallade began, but was cut short by the Electrivire silencing him.

"Xavier, don't you know who this is! How DARE you yell at her," he shouted,"its Golem!"

"Golem, sir?" Gallade began.

"YOU IDIOT! Its Regigigas!" he declared.

With that everyone's eyes widened in amazement. Could it really be that this, childish looking girl was the legendary leader of Golems? That she was Regigigas? Xavier's eyes widened, horrified by his mistake. The old man got to his knees and bowed before her, as the Gallade and other people in the area did the same. Emitt and Alice looked around puzzled at this site. It was very, very unusual.

The old man introduced himself, and apologized for the young Pokemon's mistake, which Alice easily forgave. He then invited her, Emitt and Xavier to come with him. They walked to a rundown area of the underground town, where Chronos invited her in.

"Would anyone like some tea? My specialty," Chronos smiled. The three nodded, not wanting to offend their host.
