Stolen Sunshine
We subsist on stolen daylight
Hidden in our pockets like the
Treachery of sunrise against someone's twilight wanderings.
In spite we throw knives at each
Other, lick the ends of burnt
Cigarettes trying to taste your every
breath. I relish them on the tip of my
tongue and they sit sharp as
daggers, curt and coveting you.
