Memory of 9/11-A Poem

The hurt can not be soothed, but prayers can be said. A mourning is felt across a land so bruised, tainted by the pain of the names that are read.

We pray for those families and friends, who lost someone that day. And loving thoughts we do send, the ones for which words are not needed, for what could we say?

Sorrow is displayed, everywhere we look. For us all, now that day is forever grayed, for the lives that were took.

Hope is hard for them to find. But we can understand the grief, our flag is a symbol to help remind, we need to stay strong, in our love for others and in our great belief, that all our destinies are intertwined.

Ground Zero, an area where children, men and women faded away. There were that day, many a Hero, and still these words aren't even enough to convey, the sad feelings of a country torn. We are all born, and some seem gone too fast. Still, this country can and will last.

God is there, even in the darkest hours, His presence is everywhere, and the evil, His love devours.

The name of Jesus is a powerful word, and the Holy Spirit can heal even the greatest ache. One day even this world, will also fade.

Our joy can seem to be, so very far away, in God we trust and we are free, these are the words we must say.

No matter the size of the toll, our country is still one soul. We must unite to stop the evil. One voice can guide us all. Let God take the reins. Life can once more be beautiful.
