Why More People Don't Follow Their Dreams

No more excuses

Have you ever said something like, "I love to do that someday"? I'm sure I have once or twice. The other day I asked myself, "if I really want to do that thing, whatever it is, then what am I doing today to make it happen?" I can't just wait for opportunity to come knocking on my door. I mean opportunities are all around, but normally you have to go after them. Lack of opportunity is not an excuse. Well, it is but it's a lousy one.

I think another problem is we just don't have the determination to do what we claim we want to do, even when we have the opportunity. Even though we dream of doing great things we often assume we can't or it's just in the cards for us.

Probably the biggest reason most people don't pursue their dreams is fear of failure. Fear is powerful. I believe you will fail you won't even start most of the time.

How To Pursue You Dreams

Be persistent

Opportunity rarely knocks on your door. Most of the time you have to go out and find it.

Let yourself fail

I don't want you to plan to fail. I just want you to know that failure is not a bad thing, it's part of the path. In fact every failure is a chance to learn. But if you're afraid of failing, you won't even start.
