After the sad days
Based on a true story
How could a nice person do such things!!!
Relieving all awful stress that this man has been keeping for a very long time—almost four years, Marvin learns that it is time he knew more how to love himself unconditionally.
Marvin has been a teacher for about thirty years; he discovers that it is not always true that everyone in this planet can be changed.
There are a spectrum variety of concerns Marvin learns from some of his teachers and professors and one of the worries is a warning—not to put time, work, and effort to taking care way too much of students since it will not be worth doing all of the hard work. Marvin does not say that he never listens to them; nevertheless, he cannot deny working seriously hard even if there are a number of difficulties and troubles which could surround his work almost everyday work and these obstacles could some d6ay harm himself.
Almost single moment within the last ten years, Marvin often murmurs to himself that he wants to give up his 30-year-experience profession.
Of course, people learn to solve some issues at work and figure them out so as to get best solutions and a lot of of them eventually achieve and meet their expectations. Marvin is a normal human being who likes to witness his own victory as well, i.e., he really wants to see all his students’ success.
He helps, teaches, trains, and coaches his own students; unfortunately, plenty of the students do not listen to his teachings at the very beginning. As far as Marvin is concerned, it is not very easy to tell people to do or not to do things and it is much harder when some students prefer a bigger challenge--an angry disagreement. For Marvin, he tries to fight back his emotion.
Basically, almost all Marvin’s burdens disappear as soon as he focuses on each of his students' issues unless he says goodbye to those students or those students give up on him first.
Today Marvin cogitates on all his attempts to make an effort while tutoring Sheila a 28-year-old student, who has attended class for at least 7 years, finally is terminated by Marvin. He is concerned whether this closure has been stopped for goods. He believes solidly that he has always forgiven her, and he is confidently certain that he has ever given her the best lessons! Sheila, on the contrary, has not tried hard enough to improve herself and it has appeared that she does not care about every opportunity Marvin and some of his students always offer her.
It has been such painful years for Marvin, a 51-year-old teacher, that he has suffered great pain and discomfort. Marvin talks gently and reasonably to Sheila; yet he also offers vigorous support to her. In order to see her changes, stay in the right track, and keep her in Marvin’s class, Marvin must find many tricks, strategies, such as inspirational stories and films to persuade this stubborn student to start thinking clearly what she exactly wants in her life. Often, Marvin asks some successful students to discuss and exchange their views with current students in the class.
Frankly, Marvin has no word for Sheila anymore. Most students in the class, including Marvin, agree that this student is a nice person. No one could exactly understand what is required of her. At school, the students who know her are curious and confused about how come the woman does not try hard enough to have a better life—make progress—and how come she has spent a lot of time in studying English. For instance, Marvin would like to prove himself wrong; therefore, he finds out that Sheila obviously shows that she does not care about practicing her grammar and vocabulary.
Up until the present time, Marvin has not had these riddles solved and he still has these questions running through his head and mind even though he has always asks her these same questions again and again when she is his student: why Sheila does not want to quit this English class and does not improve her English skills, why Sheila is still stubborn, why Sheila always does the assignments late and does the same flaws (after making sure that she definitely understands the talk), why does Shiela does the opposite ways when she is asked by her teacher to do and not to do things, why Sheila’s state or quality of being adequate seems too limited (she thinks she already tries very hard), why Sheila tries to stop all chances she could get but acts against them, and why Shiela needs a PHD?!
