All Night

i stayed up all night thinking of you.

i watched you dance around the corners of my mind,

leaning against my cerebellum nonchalantly,

as if every molecule of nervous tissue

was yours to own,

you lingered on the softest part of my brain

like the scent that didn't leave

when the rest of you did.

i stayed up all night thinking of you

because the thought of you

surpassed anything i could've conjured up,

in even my wildest dreams.
