The Moment

I saw her again

We didn’t speak, we didn’t need to

There were no words to satisfy that moment.

Everything I needed I saw in her eyes

And while I’m sure the moment was brief,

We overcame time and shared forever in our minds

All the people around us faded to dust

And for a he first time I saw a woman as she should be seen;

As if she is the only woman in the world.

It was her gift to me, it’s all she had to give

These speechless moments are all we shall have

She can never be mine

She has the hand of another man

And in this life he gives her all she needs

Oh... but she too has the heart of a poet

And these words breathe eternal life into her

Where our souls will share many moments, when

I see her again
