you will fall for a boy

and it will be the best few days,

weeks, months, or years of your life.

you will see the center of your world shift

dramatically to him

rather than yourself.

you will be happy.

he will make you laugh.

he will make you feel like you the center of his world

but don't be fooled

because you're not.

you will have your first fight.

you will make up

and you will fight again

over very little things

ranging from "why didn't i get a good morning text?"

to "how come that girl is always smiling at you like that?"

one day your instincts will kick in.

one day you'll tell your girlfriends

that you don't trust that girl thats always smiling at him. you will tell him.

you will tell him what you think about that girl

that's always smiling at him.

and he will tell you

"she's nothing to worry about."

when he tells you she's nothing to worry about,

worry.

when your friends tell you it's "probably nothing"

believe that it is most definitely something.

and when you realize it is something

do not seek out his friends for advice.

their loyalty is to him not you.

you will realize the look that

the girl who is always smiling at him gives you.

you will realize

and you might not listen to me now

but do not ignore it.

in a few months you'll see

that he was with her too.

he made her happy too.

he made her laugh too.

he made her feel like she was the center of his world too.

and when she asked about you

he told her what he told you.

"she's nothing to worry about."

just like he told you.
