The Beach
I sit at the edge beach and watch the tide bring the waves ashore
Im reminded of her love
It comes with purpose and desire, Unrelenting in its quest
It crashes over me in beautiful chaos, surrounding me, consuming me
It's power so strong, knocking me from me feet making impossible to steady myself
I'm lost in simple joy waiting for each wave to over power me
But the tides always turn
Without out warning I feel the change in direction
I feel the joy I've been lost in retreating from where it came
It speeds past me with the same ferocity in which it was upon me
It tries so hard to take me to the depths with it, but i resist
I'm powerless to stop it
I see it coming, I feel the withdrawal
But refuse to accept it's truth
I sit at the edge of the beach where I started
This time cold and missing the joy I was lost in
Waiting for its return
Hoping for a surge to wash me away for good
