Export

You can export your work in a number of formats:

Text

This option will export your project as-is, in plain text without any formatting. It’s ideal for:

  • Backing up your work
  • Copying the text to another Werdsmith project
  • Copying the text to another app

Document

This option will export your project as an editable Rich Text File (.rtf) document. The text will be formatted with headings, bold, italics, etc. It’s ideal for:

  • Continuing your work on a computer (e.g. in MS Word)
  • Sending the project to a collaborator to continue editing
  • Sending the project to your computer to customize it for printing

PDF

This option will export your project as a PDF file. Text will be formatted but the file will not be editable. It’s ideal for:

  • Printing your work
  • Sharing the work with someone who won't edit it (for example, a friend or a reader)
  • Sharing the work with someone who'll print or mark it up (for example, an editor)
