Passkeys
Passkeys are the modern replacement for passwords. They're now the standard for quickly and securely accessing accounts, and they're supported by Apple, Google and thousands of other companies.
Unlike passwords that can be easily forgotten, guessed, lost or stolen, passkeys are impossible to guess and are stored securely in your password manager.
Creating an account
When you create a new Werdsmith account, your device will ask you to save a passkey. Follow the instructions to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
Passkeys are stored automatically in your password manager. Most of the time, that means the Passwords app, but if you use another password manager, you can find them there.
Adding a passkey to an existing account
Go to Profile > Account and then tap "Add passkey". Adding a passkey gives you an extra, highly secure way to access your account.
Backup email address
You can choose to add a backup email address to your account. If you lose or delete your passkey, you can use this backup email address to log back in to your account.
We recommend making sure that the email address is current and that your email account is protected with strong security. Anyone who has access to the email account will also have access to your Werdsmith account.
If you lose access to both your passkey and your email address, you may be unable to recover your account.
