Writing can be hard - Werdsmith’s goal is to make it easier. That's why we’ve created Ghostwriter, a cutting-edge writing tool that helps you get inspired, break through writer’s block and focus on your writing.

Here’s how it works:

Prompts

Starting with a blank page can be daunting. Now, when you start a new project, you’ll have the option for Ghostwriter to write the first line of your story for you. If you've already written a few things in the app, it'll suggest ideas relevant to the kinds of things you usually write.

If your project already has a title, the app will generate an idea based on the title.

If you don’t like a prompt, you can generate a new one. The prompts can be moving, inspiring or even funny - and they’re a great way to get ideas for a new project, or to practice your writing skills.

Completions

Struggling to find the right way to end a sentence, or don’t know what to say next? Ghostwriter can write the end of a sentence, or the next sentence for you, all in your unique writing style.

Often these completions can suggest ideas for plot, character and where to take your writing next. It’s like having a collaborator that knows your writing intimately.

Formatting

Formatting wastes a writer’s energy and distracts from the work of writing. Ghostwriter can do this work for you - adding chapter numbers, titles and breaks for novels, and automatically formatting screenplays.
