We've designed Werdsmith so you can use the majority of features the moment you download it, without paying anything or having to provide personal details.

However, some features require a free or paid account.

Free Account

When you create a free Werdsmith account, your work starts automatically, securely and regularly backing up to your account.

This also (optionally) enables you to share private links to your work with friends or other writers and to start building your writer's portfolio.

We strongly recommend creating a free Werdsmith account so you can recover your work if you accidentally delete something, or if you lose your device.

Werdsmith accounts are protected by passkeys. You can learn more about passkeys here.

Membership

For writers who want to get serious about their writing, we've built Ghostwriter, a writing tool that helps you get through writer's block and finish your projects.

In addition to Ghostwriter, members receive:

• Unlimited project storage
• Longer storage of automatic backups
• Access to all app themes

Please note, if you have a membership, you'll need to create a free Werdsmith account to access the additional writing prompts included in your plan.
